Golden State Warriors: Why They Skipped Out On The White House During Black History Month

0613_warriors-1000x707For those of you who thought The Warriors were going to visit the White House after their rather obvious hesitancy, you have to do better! The 2017 NBA champs have decided. . .  they are taking their talents to the National Museum of African-American History and Culture baby! After much consideration the team was pretty much like #Nah.  The Warriors’ guard, Klay Thompson, explained why it was just a NO for them. He said,  “The White House is a great honor, but there are other circumstances that we felt not comfortable going,”  the New York Post reported. “We’re not going to politicize anything. We’re just going to go hang out with some kids and take them to the African-American Museum and teach them things we learned along the way, life lessons and hopefully give them some great memories,” he shared. In a recent statement, the team said: “In lieu of a visit to the White House, we have decided that we’ll constructively use our trip to the nation’s capital in February to celebrate equality, diversity and inclusion — the values that we embrace as an organization.” #ForTheCulture #HappyBlackHistoryMonth
